Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our early childhood team in Birmingham, AL. You will evaluate, design, and deliver individualized OT services for infants to preschoolers, promoting motor, sensory, and self-care skills through play.

You’ll collaborate with families, daycare staff, SLPs, PTs, and teachers to create family-centered care plans, document progress, and support transitions that help children participate fully in daily routines and developmental

Qualifications

Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program.
Active Alabama OT license (or eligibility).
NBCOT certification and CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and assess developmental needs across sensory, gross/fine motor, and self-care domains.
Design evidence-based treatment plans to improve engagement and independence.
Implement play-centered interventions focusing on motor planning and sensory regulation.
Educate families and daycare staff on sensory diets and home carryover strategies.
Maintain timely documentation and progress notes.
Collaborate with SLPs, PTs, COTAs, educators, and parents for integrated care.
