Job summary

Child’sPlay Therapy Center in Chelsea, Alabama, is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our growing team. The role focuses on assessments, direct treatment, family education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will hold AOTA certification and Alabama licensure, have a Master’s degree or an OTD, and be able to work within our mentorship network while maintaining documentation in our EMR system.

Qualifications

• AOTA certification and licensure to work in Alabama.
• Master’s degree or OTD.
• Strong collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and yearly comprehensive assessments.
• Provide direct treatment.
• Complete effective and prompt documentation for daily notes, assessments, individual treatment plans, and progress updates.
• Participate in our mentorship network as either a mentee or mentor.
• Provide education and training for caregivers.
• Collaborate with other therapists (SLPs, PTs, OTs, MHPs).
• Utilize our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to create and maintain documentation and collect and monitor data.
• Maintain a caseload in our South Huntsville clinic.
• Work with practicum students.
