Job summary

LOGAN Community Resources in Michigan is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat children across gross and fine motor, sensory integration, and oral motor areas. The therapist develops individualized plans, communicates results to families, and collaborates with an integrated care team within LOGAN’s services.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, case conferences, parent training, and ensuring therapy goals align with Medicaid and school transitions.

Qualifications

• Registered Occupational Therapist in Michigan.
• Autism population experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with staff, families and clients.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate children with a therapy team or individually.
• Provide evaluations and therapy across gross motor, fine motor, oral motor, perceptual-motor and sensory integration areas.
• Develop treatment plans and monitor progress in Individual Plans.
• Communicate results to staff and families; provide parent training.
• Document progress notes and Medicaid-related reports; prepare closing summaries for transitions.
• Participate in case conferences, meetings, and goal writing with the team.
• Possibly supervise a COTA and provide staff training as needed.
• Attend workshops to meet licensing requirements and stay current.
