Job summary

Social Pediatric Therapy in West Bloomfield, MI is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide evaluations, individualized treatment, and family-centered care for children with developmental, sensory, motor, and functional skill needs.

The role involves conducting OT evaluations, creating and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support progress at home and school.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Michigan OT license or eligible for licensure.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric OT principles and practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
• Provide therapy sessions focused on improving fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and daily living skills.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists, BCBAs, physicians, educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support development and independence at home.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress.
