Job summary

THERAPY 2000, a home-based provider of pediatric Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy services, seeks a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to serve families in Cypress, TX. The role is full-time, part-time, or PRN within our North Houston Division, offering flexible scheduling and home-based care.

Qualifications

• Current/active license to practice Occupational Therapy in Texas.
• 3+ years as a pediatric Occupational Therapist (preferred).
• Experience in home-health settings (preferred).
• Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations using standardized tests to determine therapy needs.
• Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.
• Create home exercise programs in partnership with caregivers.
• Coordinate care with other providers and clinicians to support patient care.
• Meet weekly visit quotas and complete charting, progress notes, and logs per agency requirements.
• Adhere to agency policies, ethics, and applicable laws in home-health pediatric OT.

THERAPY 2000, a home-based provider of pediatric Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy services, has an exciting opportunity for a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to serve families in the Cypress area of TX. This Full-time, Part-time or PRN position is located in our North Houston Division.What you’ll do:-Perform comprehensive Occupational Therapy evaluations, using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs for therapy.-Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders.-Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.-Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.-Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.-Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.-Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.-Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.-Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric occupational therapy.What you’ll need:-A current/active license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Texas.-An innovative spirit complemented by a demonstrated history of reliability.-Flexibility to shift resources and priorities as necessary, based on the needs of the business.-Ability to use common workplace technology (laptop computer, phone, email, web browser).Bonus points for:-3+ years as a pediatric Occupational Therapist-Experience in a home-health setting.-Experience or certifications in feeding therapy or other clinical specialties (high-risk infant, etc.)-Bilingual (English/Spanish)Perks:-Paid time off for full-time and part-time employees.-Medical/Dental/Vision insurance for full-time and part-time employees.-Access to innovative, relevant continuing education opportunities delivered in person and on-demand.-Mileage reimbursement for travel between patient visits.-Optional salary stipend determined by hiring manager.-Company-issued laptop computer.-Company-sponsored 401k program.
