Job summary

BayCare Health System in South Florida Baptist Hospital is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide comprehensive evaluation, treatment planning, and skilled OT interventions.

You will ensure care aligns with CMS requirements, supervise OTAs, rehabilitation technicians, students, and volunteers, and contribute to patient access and clinic performance through effective teamwork and documentation.

Qualifications

• Education requirements include a Bachelor's degree and an Occupational Therapy specialization.
• MS/Doctoral-level degrees are preferred for advanced supervision and practice.
• Credentialing requirements and BLS are required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment planning for patients.
• Deliver skilled OT interventions according to CMS and organizational policies.
• Supervise and provide direction to OT staff, OTA, students, and volunteers as appropriate.
• Contribute to patient access, throughput, safety, and clinic performance through communication and documentation.

Summary:

Provides comprehensive evaluation, treatment planning, and skilled occupational therapy interventions for patients based on individualized functional needs and established standards of practice. Ensures all care is delivered in accordance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements, professional guidelines, and organizational policies. Provides clinical oversight and direction to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, Rehabilitation Technicians, Fitness Specialists, Massage Therapists, occupational therapy (OT)/occupational therapy assistant (OTA) students, and volunteers as appropriate. A licensed Occupational Therapist may supervise only one permittee at any given time, per regulatory requirements. Contributes to patient access, throughput, safety, and overall clinic performance through effective communication, timely documentation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
