Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Current Texas Occupational Therapist license.
  • Pediatric or home health experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized pediatric occupational therapy in the home or clinic setting.
  • Evaluate children and develop individualized care plans.
  • Implement treatment plans based on each child’s needs and family priorities.
  • Address fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence.
  • Educate and empower parents and caregivers to maximize carryover between visits.
  • Collaborate with caregivers and other members of the care team and complete timely documentation.

By providing therapy in the home, you can incorporate treatment into a child’s everyday routines while partnering directly with parents and caregivers to support meaningful, lasting progress.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities will vary based on your role and scope of practice and may include:

  • Provide individualized pediatric occupational therapy in the home setting
  • Evaluate children and develop individualized care plans, as permitted by role and scope of practice
  • Implement treatment plans based on each child’s needs, goals, and family priorities
  • Address fine motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, play, self-care, and functional independence
  • Recommend or implement therapeutic activities, strategies, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications when appropriate
  • Monitor progress and adjust or communicate recommended changes to care plans, as permitted by scope of practice
  • Educate and empower parents and caregivers to maximize carryover between visits
  • Collaborate with caregivers, ATPs, orthotists, physicians, and other members of the care team
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Build meaningful relationships with children and families throughout their care journey
Qualifications
Occupational Therapist
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Current Texas Occupational Therapist license
  • New graduates may be considered based on mentorship and support availability
  • Pediatric or home health experience is preferred but not required
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license
  • Ability to provide treatment under the supervision and direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist
  • New graduates may be considered based on mentorship and support availability
  • Pediatric or home health experience is preferred but not required
All Candidates
  • Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain it
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel within an assigned service area
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Dependable, compassionate, and family-centered approach to care
