Job summary

Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services, Inc. (Sunny Days) is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide pediatric therapy with a flexible schedule across home and community settings in Dutchess, Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster Counties, NY.

Responsibilities include delivering OT services, implementing IFSP-driven goals, coaching families, and documenting progress; competitive hourly rates, with a sign-on bonus up to $1,000 and access to trainings and mentorship.

Qualifications

• New York OT license is required.
• Early Intervention experience or equivalent experience.
• Paediatric experience preferred.
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy services and consult with families and other professionals.
• Follow IFSP and develop methods to reach each child’s developmental goals.
• Coach families on intervention strategies for home and community settings.
• Deliver services in homes, daycare centers, and other community settings.
• Ensure progress generalization and active caregiver participation; communicate with the team.
• Prepare progress reports.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal laws.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy services and consult with family members and other professionals working with the family
• Follow Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and develop methodologies for reaching each child’s specific developmental goals
• Coach family members and caregivers on various intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over in both home and at community settings
• Provide services in diverse settings such as homes, daycare centers, and/or other community settings
• Ensure that progress is generalized and caregivers are active participants in intervention through addressing specific goals, coaching sessions, and communication with the entire team
• Prepare progress reports
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements

• New York Occupational Therapy (OT) license
• Early Intervention Experience OR Equivalent Experience
• Pediatric Experience (preferred)
• Home Based Service Delivery Experience (preferred)
• Strong Clinical & Interpersonal Skills
• Excellent Written & Oral Communication Skills
