Job summary

Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services, Inc. (Sunny Days) is seeking part-time and independent contractor OT professionals to serve infants and toddlers with developmental delays across Hudson County, New Jersey.

You will work flexible schedules in home and community settings, providing Occupational Therapy and collaborating with families and the care team. Sunny Days offers paperless systems, direct deposit, and potential benefits such as medical coverage and 401(k) eligibility.

Qualifications

• New Jersey Occupational Therapy license is required.
• Early Intervention experience or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Pediatric experience is required.
• Home-based service delivery experience is a plus.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities are needed.
• Technology proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental screenings/assessments and provide Occupational Therapy services.
• Follow IFSP and develop methods to reach each child’s goals.
• Coach families on intervention strategies for home and community settings.
• Provide services in homes, daycare centers, and other community settings.
• Ensure progress generalization and active caregiver participation.
• Prepare progress reports.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and laws.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental screening/assessments, provide Occupational Therapy services and consult with family members and other professionals working with the family
• Follow Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and develop methodologies for reaching each child’s specific developmental goals
• Coach family members and caregivers on various intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over in both home and at community settings
• Provide services in diverse settings such as homes, daycare centers, and/or other community settings
• Ensure that progress is generalized and caregivers are active participants in intervention through addressing specific goals, coaching sessions, and communication with the entire team
• Prepare progress reports
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• New Jersey Occupational Therapy (OT) license
