Job summary

Chamberlain University seeks a Part-Time Visiting Professor to mentor nursing students in a clinical setting, guiding skill development, patient care, and evidence-based practice while maintaining a flexible schedule and strong mentorship support.

You will deliver clinical instruction, supervise students, collaborate with the health team, uphold professional standards, and contribute to program outcomes across campus.

Qualifications

• Must hold a master\'s or doctoral degree in Nursing.
• Unencumbered nursing license.
• Current BLS certification.
• At least two years of instructional experience as a registered nurse.
• Teaching or precepting experience preferred.
• Genuine passion for nursing and education.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Mentor nursing students in clinical settings and supervise nursing care.
• Plan clinical experiences and evaluate student performance.
• Maintain current knowledge of agency policies and clinical procedures.
• Develop and post written clinical assignments aligned with learning needs.
• Provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to improve programs and student satisfaction.
• May teach didactic content under supervision of course coordinator.
• Report to the dean or course coordinator and coordinate with staff.
