Job summary

Nexus Children’s Hospital – Houston seeks an experienced Nursing House Supervisor to provide administrative and clinical oversight, coordinate staffing and patient flow, and support hospital operations for pediatric patients with complex medical, behavioral health, and neurodevelopmental needs.

The role requires strong clinical judgment, effective staff coaching, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compassionate care across all units.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• At least 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
• 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• 1–2 years of pediatric nursing experience preferred.
• Experience with behavioral health/pediatric complexity is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and clinical oversight across units.
• Coordinate staffing, admissions, transfers, and bed management.
• Respond to emergencies and support hospital operations.
• Guide staff through rounds and escalation of care.
• Collaborate with quality, risk, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Promote safe, patient-centered care and HIPAA compliance.
