Job summary

Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead nursing services across our pediatric ASC network. The role focuses on staffing, policy development, regulatory compliance and quality improvement in a fast-paced surgical setting.

You’ll supervise nursing personnel, establish standards of care, collaborate with administrators and vendors, and drive patient safety and excellent service for our pediatric patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state license to practice as a registered nurse.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Knowledge of nursing process and patient care evaluation.
• Regulatory and accreditation knowledge (CMS, DOH, OSHA, AORN, AAAHC).
• Preferred education includes a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment, retention, evaluation and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Formulate and implement nursing philosophy and objectives consistent with the stated goals of the surgery center.
• Develop policies, procedures, and staffing essential to the achievement of the philosophy and objectives of the surgery center.
• Evaluation of programs and patient care activities.
• Responsible for continued compliance with government regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies.
• Assures documentation of patient care to meet criteria dictated by legal practice, state and federal health standards.
• Provide leadership and support in developing and maintaining effective relationships with the surgical center staff and vendors.
• Establish, maintain, analyze, and evaluated standards of nursing care within the surgery center in compliance with professional nursing standards and recommended perioperative procedures.
• Maintain awareness of professional issues at the local, state, and national levels that impact the delivery of nursing services and health care management.
