The DON will drive policy implementation, manage budgets, and collaborate with physicians and departments to improve access and outcomes in a fast-paced hospital setting in Los Angeles, California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required.
• Must be on call for nights.
• No other job commitments.
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing or leadership experience.
• Current RN licensure in California.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• Strong leadership and management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to the pediatric care team including nurses and nurse practitioners.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures for optimal patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care and satisfaction.
• Recruit, retain, and mentor a diverse pediatric care team.
• Develop and manage budgets for pediatric care services.
• Build relationships with community partners, referring physicians, and families to improve access.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure coordination with admissions, radiology, and labs.
