Job summary

Pediatric Specialty Care in Philadelphia is seeking a Director of Nursing to oversee the Nursing Services Department and lead a dedicated team of pediatric care professionals.

The DON will develop and implement policies, mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with administrators to improve patient outcomes while maintaining compassionate, family-centered care for medically complex children.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
• PA RN license is required.
• Pediatric complex care or long-term care experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a 24/7 setting.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• 5+ years in a related leadership position.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Nursing Services Department with daily operations, staffing, and care delivery.
• Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies, procedures, and quality programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in collaboration with leadership.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage nursing staff while promoting growth and excellence.
• Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams to tailor care plans for each child.
• Participate in QA/QI programs, surveys, inspections, and continuous improvement.
