Job summary

Central Ohio Technical College seeks a Pediatric Nursing Clinical Teaching Assistant (Part Time) in the Nursing Technology department to support instructional learning in the associate degree program and coordinate with faculty to deliver clinical education.

Applicants must reside in Ohio with an active Ohio RN license and at least two years of pediatric nursing experience. The position is part-time and temporary, with pay based on education and experience.

Qualifications

• Must reside in Ohio and hold an active Ohio RN license.
• Requires completion of an approved professional nursing education program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required for teaching in associate degree program.
• Minimum two years RN clinical practice.
• Current BLS CPR certification and pediatric nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction aligned with course objectives.
• Develop engaging lesson plans, assignments, and assessments to support student learning.
• Utilize diverse instructional strategies, including technology-enhanced learning.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and maintain records per college policies.

• Part-time instructor positions remain active for 12 months.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

• All applicants must reside in the state of Ohio.
• Minimum Qualifications: Completion of an approved professional nursing education program.
• Baccalaureate degree in nursing for teaching in Associate Degree Program.
• Current active unrestricted licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio.
• Experience of at least two years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support CPR and experience in pediatric nursing.

Preferred Qualifications: Current or recent employment with Nationwide Children’s Hospital, or in a pediatric healthcare setting.
