Job summary

Central Ohio Technical College is building a Part-time Faculty Pool for Computer Information Technology. Positions are part-time, non- permanent, and reviewed as needs arise, with applications kept for 12 months. Candidates must reside in Ohio and hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualifications.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in CIS, business, or related field, or a bachelor’s with concentration in teaching.
In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, consider associate degree with relevant work experience or certifications.
Ability to communicate effectively and maintain positive relationships with students, peers, and staff.
Willingness to teach using various instructional methods, including email and online LMS.
Commitment to meeting students’ learning needs and aligning with the college mission.
Background check must be completed successfully.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

Must reside in the state of Ohio.
A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in Computer & Information Science ( CIS ), business, or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline.
- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, the College may consider applicants with an associate degree, relevant work experience, professional licensure, certifications, or other demonstrated competencies in the subject area.
Ability to communicate effectively and maintain positive working relationships with students, peers, supervisors, and staff.
Willingness to teach and communicate using a variety of instructional methods, including email and online learning management systems.
Commitment to meeting students’ learning needs and empowering them to succeed.
