University of Missouri Health Care's Pediatrics team at Children’s Hospital in Columbia seeks a Care Team Associate for a full-time night shift. The role supports nursing staff, assists with daily patient tasks, and contributes to a patient-centered care model on a 28-bed unit with flex capacity to 46 beds.

Qualifications

• Direct patient care experience in the past three years as a nursing assistant, EMT, or surgical technician.
• Fundamentals of Nursing course within 90 days or completion planned.
• CNA, PCT, or UAP certifications are preferred or required as stated.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with transferring patients, delivering meals, and assisting with feeding.
• Organize workload, manage multiple tasks, and maintain a clean, orderly environment; answer phones and relay information.
• Educate and train new staff in Care Team Associate responsibilities.
• Perform duties in routine and emergent situations as delegated by nursing staff and management.
• Perform patient position changes, equipment handling, hygiene care, glucose checks, venipuncture if needed, and specimen transport.
• Enter information into bed-management system accurately and timely.
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and document vital signs, intake, output, height, and weight.
• Complete department-specific duties as outlined in documents.
