Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Resource Pool I. This full-time day shift role (7am-7:30pm, 36 hours/week) provides nursing care across multiple units with a focus on family-centered care and collaboration within the pediatric setting.

The position requires a BSN or within 5 years of hire, Ohio RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS/NRP/PALS within one year. Candidates should have strong communication, teamwork, and accuracy under pressure to support quality patient care.

Qualifications

• BSN required or to be obtained within 5 years of hire.
• Active Ohio RN license and BLS certification.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS to be completed within one year of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of RN or direct patient-care experience in acute care.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care across multiple units with family-centered focus.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care and mentors staff as needed.
• Leads and participates in quality improvement and safety duties.
• Works with providers and teams to ensure collaborative, high-quality pediatric care.
