Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz seeks a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) for an Open Rank faculty position in the College of Nursing. The role focuses on providing integrated pediatric primary care within Sheridan Health Services, a community FQHC in southwest Denver, CO, with potential site coverage at partner practices.

Clinic-based with opportunities across Instructor, Sr. Instructor, or Assistant Professor levels.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
• Current board certification as a PNP.
• Current RN, APN licensures in good standing (any state).
• Must have CO licensures by date of hire.
• Demonstrated leadership in area of practice.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with academic colleagues and students in practice activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute and chronic primary care for the clinic's pediatric populations.
• Perform the full scope of Nurse Practitioner duties, including comprehensive physical examination, diagnosis, and treatment; refer to specialists as needed.
• Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate services to patients from diverse backgrounds in an underserved setting.
• Coordinate patient care with RN Case Managers, Referral Coordinators, Behavioral Health, and Pharmacy teams.
• Supervise students during clinical placements and act as a clinical instructor.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and ensure all documentation and compliance standards are met.
