Nemours Children's Health in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a Physician Assistant or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our Pediatric Critical Care team. This role involves caring for medically complex children in a collaborative PICU environment and growing pediatric critical care expertise within a nationally recognized children's health system.

Qualifications

• Current, active Florida APRN or PA license in good standing.
• Current AHA BLS and PALS certification upon hire.
• Preferred Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Acute Care certification and pediatric APP experience.
• Experience in intensive care, transport, acute care, or emergency medicine is welcomed.
• New-to-practice APPs with pediatric or acute care background encouraged and will be supported through onboarding, mentorship, and training.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient and family histories and perform physical and developmental assessments.
• Develop diagnoses and participate in creating evidence-based management plans.
• Perform procedures within scope of practice and clinical training.
• Collaborate with intensivists, nurses, respiratory therapists, specialists, and care team members.
• Provide education, counseling, and support to patients and families.
• Participate in teaching residents, students, and other learners in the clinical environment.
• Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation and support quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives.
