Nemours Children's Hospital, Orlando seeks a Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider to join the Pediatric Critical Care team. The role emphasizes care for medically complex children in a collaborative PICU environment and growth in pediatric critical care within a nationally recognized health system.

You will work with a collegial multidisciplinary team, contributing to patient care, supporting learners, and pursuing professional development in a mission-driven pediatric setting.

Qualifications

• Active Florida APRN (or PA) license in good standing.
• AHA BLS and PALS certification required on hire.
• Pediatric NP-AC certification is preferred.
• Experience in intensive care, transport, acute care, or emergency medicine is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient and family histories and perform physical and developmental assessments.
• Develop diagnoses and participate in evidence-based management plans.
• Perform procedures within scope of practice and training.
• Collaborate with intensivists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other care team members.

Position Responsibilities

• Obtain patient and family histories and perform physical and developmental assessments.
• Develop diagnoses and participate in creating evidence-based management plans.
• Perform appropriate procedures within scope of practice and clinical training.
• Collaborate with intensivists, nurses, respiratory therapists, specialists, and other members of the care team.
• Provide education, counseling, and support to patients and families.
• Participate in teaching residents, students, and other learners in the clinical environment.
• Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation and support quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current, active, and clear Florida APRN or PA license in good standing.
• Current AHA BLS and PALS certification upon hire.
• Preferred candidates will have Pediatric Nurse Practitioner‑Acute Care certification and pediatric APP experience. Experience in intensive care, transport, acute care, or emergency medicine is welcomed.
• New‑to‑practice APPs with an appropriate pediatric or acute care background are encouraged to apply and will be supported through structured onboarding, mentorship, and training.
