Job summary

Fort Worth, Texas-based APRN role in our neonatology practice provides in-house coverage with no call requirements. You will participate in daily rounds, assess patients, and develop plans of care for low-acuity infants in the NICU.

Join a team with in-house neonatologists and affiliated professionals, with opportunities for education and quality improvement initiatives and a flexible schedule of 13–16 days per month, including some weekends.

Qualifications

  • Current APRN national specialty certification is required.
  • Minimum of a master’s degree from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily in-house coverage with no call requirements.
  • Daily rounding and patient assessments in NICU for low-acuity infants and newborns.
  • Develop and manage care plans for neonates in the NICU.
  • Neonatologist assistance/backup provided as needed for high-risk cases.
  • Participate in education and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Flexible schedule: 13–16 days per month with some weekends.

Our team includes in-house neonatologists and affiliated professionals, such as neonatal nurse practitioners, developmental pediatricians, cardiologists, MFMs, and pediatric surgeons. Together, we provide comprehensive newborn services.

  • Provide daily in-house coverage, no call requirements
  • Responsibilities include daily rounding, patient assessments, developing and managing plan of care for low-acuity infants and newborns in the NICU setting
  • Neonatologist assistance/backup is provided as needed and in all high-risk situations
  • Opportunity to participate in education and quality improvement initiatives
  • Flexible work schedule; work 13-16 days per month with some weekends
  • Position accepts following certifications: NNP, PNP, PNP-AC. Unable to consider FNPs for this position
