Job summary

MaineGeneral Medical Center’s Kennebec Pediatrics is seeking a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join a collegial outpatient team serving patients from infancy to young adulthood.

Practice features include 32 clinical hours with 8 administrative hours, no evening clinic hours, and a 1 in 8 weekend call rotation. Opportunity exists to cover as pediatric hospitalist if desired; UNE students rotate through the practice.

Qualifications

  • Board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with experience in outpatient pediatrics.
  • Strong collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to meet pediatric patient needs.
  • Ability to provide compassionate, respectful care across infancy to young adulthood.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary and acute pediatric care in an outpatient setting.
  • Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to coordinate patient care.
  • Participate in call rotations and after-hours as needed.
  • Support medical education experiences for UNE students if available.

Kennebec Pediatrics, a thriving, well-established practice of MaineGeneral Medical Center, is seeking a board certified and experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner , to join their collegial team, meeting patients’ medical needs through compassionate, respectful and professional care.

Join an incredible team at Kennebec Pediatrics including 8 physicians and a full complement of nursing and support staff in an outpatient setting, providing comprehensive medical care from infancy to young adulthood.

Highlights of the position include:

  • Schedule consists of 32 clinical hours and the benefit of 8 hours scheduled, dedicated administrative time

  • No evening clinic hours

  • No inpatient pediatric, Emergency Department or newborn nursery coverage.

  • Call rotation consists of 1 in 8 weekends.

  • After-hours on call service that begins at 4:50 pm – 7:45 am on weekdays, weekend call service begins at 2:00 pm to 9:00 am.

  • Third year medical students from UNE rotate through the practices.

  • Opportunity to fill in as pediatric hospitalist if desired, although not required.
