Job summary

El Rio Health seeks a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient team across 15 Tucson locations. The PNP will focus on well-child care, preventive medicine, and managing common pediatric illnesses in a community health setting.

Minimum education includes a Master’s or Doctorate in APN with AZ APRN licensure and Pediatric NP board certification. DEA, BLS/PALS/NRP, and fingerprint clearance are required where applicable. Bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate from an accredited Advanced Practice Nursing Program.
• Active AZ APRN license and Board Certification as Pediatric NP.
• DEA license and BLS/PALS/NRP as applicable; fingerprint clearance card.

Responsibilities

• Specializes in caring for newborns, infants, children and adolescents.
• Prevents and manages common pediatric acute illnesses and chronic conditions.
• Evaluates patient symptoms, conducts exams, and checks vital signs; orders tests.
• Prescribes pharmaceuticals and treatment plans as appropriate.
• Maintains medical records with HIPAA compliance and documentation standards.
• Attends emergencies in clinic/hospital settings and coordinates care with the healthcare team.
