Job summary
Saintmaryshome is seeking a Direct Care Nurse to provide specialized nursing care for individuals with medical and physical disabilities in an Intermediate setting. You will work in a collaborative environment with healthcare professionals and families to support each person’s health plan and advocate for their well-being.
The role requires nursing licensure in Virginia (RN or LPN) and prior pediatric or medical/surgical experience.
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Must hold a valid, active Virginia LPN or RN license.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily assessments of individuals to monitor health conditions.
- Continuously monitor vital signs and care plans.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per orders.
- Document nursing interventions and outcomes in the EHR.
- Provide wound care and support with procedures as needed.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and follow protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and families to coordinate care.
- Advocate for the rights and wellbeing of individuals.
