Job summary

Penn State Health - Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse Educator II to advance the quality of care by leading orientation programs, evaluating competence, and supporting lifelong learning for Pediatric Intensive Care Unit staff.

The role focuses on mentoring nurses at all levels, identifying outcomes of educational interventions, and aligning practice with regulations and organizational goals to strengthen patient safety and professional development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing plus Master’s in related field.
• Current RN license in state of employment or multi-state license.
• AHA BLS certification before end of orientation period.
• At least five (5) years of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Support orientation programs for nursing staff.
• Evaluate competence and provide ongoing mentorship.
• Identify outcomes of educational interventions aligned with regulations and organizational goals.
