Job summary

Banner Health in Glendale, Arizona seeks a Pediatric Nurse to provide medical care for birth through late teens in our 40+ bed pediatric unit at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center.

The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care across a variety of pediatric conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. New graduates are welcome to explore RN New Grad openings and participate in self-scheduling with a flat $3/hour weekend differential and an 18% night shift differential.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, or a compact RN license.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in pediatric or acute care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational and developmental needs.
• Implements the plan of care and coordinates with the health care team.
• Evaluates patient and family response to care and revises the plan as needed.
• Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record.
