Job summary

Banner Health's Banner Staffing Services-AZ is seeking a Pediatric Nurse for the Banner Children’s at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Mesa, AZ. The role involves caring for patients from birth through late adolescence in a 40+ bed pediatric unit, with a focus on Orthopedics, Surgical, GI, Neuro, Endocrinology and Oncology cases.

Qualified candidates must have RN Pediatric experience and hold a current RN license with BLS.

Qualifications

• RN Pediatric experience required.
• Current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and plans appropriate nursing care.
• Implements the plan of care and coordinates with the care team.
• Evaluates patient progress and revises care as needed.
• Documents assessments, plans and outcomes in the patient record.
• Supervises and mentors staff as applicable and supports unit goals.
