Job summary

Banner Children’s at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center is seeking a Pediatric Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care for patients from birth through adolescence in a 40+ bed unit. The role focuses on Orthopedics, Surgical, GI, Neuro, Endocrinology, Oncology and general pediatrics, working with children, adolescents and teenagers to address medical conditions and deliver treatment as needed.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• One year of acute care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan care according to nursing standards.
• Implement and coordinate nursing care, including delegation and supervision of unlicensed staff.
• Document nursing care accurately in patient records.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
• Communicate with families and multidisciplinary team to ensure safe discharge planning.
