Job summary

CHOC Children's in Mission Viejo, California seeks a Night Shift Registered Nurse to join our pediatric inpatient team. You will apply the nursing process to plan and deliver family-centered care, collaborating across disciplines to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Reporting to the Nursing Manager, you will ensure documentation accuracy, prioritize tasks, and promote CHOC's mission of child health, safety, and compassionate care during night shifts.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse-California required.
• Ped. Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• 1 year acute care nursing experience in a pediatric medical/surgical unit
• Knowledge of family-centered patient care
• Excellent customer satisfaction skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and complete duties timely.
• Ability to collaborate with others and document accurately.
• Adhere to CHOC policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver family-centered patient care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and coordinate nursing care based on clinical practice standards.
• Collaborate with patient/family and other disciplines to achieve desired outcomes.
• Support CHOC's mission and provide excellence in nursing care.

Education

Bachelor degree in Nursing from an approved school.
