Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP).
• APRN licensure issued by the State of Florida - active and in good standing.
• Certification by ANCC/AANPCB/PNCB - active and in good standing.
• American Heart Association BLS - active and in good standing.
• Level II Background Check - active and in good standing.
• Credentialing by NCHS Medical Administration completed.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive and problem-focused history and physical examinations.
• Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests to establish diagnosis and develop a treatment plan.
• Differentiates normal vs abnormal data in findings.
• Performs procedures as competency demonstrates.
• Maintains current expertise to promote clinical growth.
• Orders and prescribes medications for inpatient/outpatients.
• Writes orders and monitors drug therapies within protocol with supervising physician.
• Recognizes need for physician consultation as indicated.
• Maintains high-level critical thinking and completes documentation within 24 hours.
• Acts as a preceptor for APP students.
• Participates in EMR documentation, coordinating care, and discharge planning.
• Provides weekend call coverage as scheduled.
