Wellstar Pediatric Center, part of Wellstar Health System, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Neurologist to join a growing team in Georgia. The physician will provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient neurological care to infants, children and adolescents with a broad range of disorders.

The ideal candidate participates in multidisciplinary collaboration, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives while delivering compassionate care to families.

Formación

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program.
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Neurology Fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Neurology.
• Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Georgia.
• DEA certification or eligibility.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage pediatric patients with acute and chronic neurological conditions.
• Provide care for epilepsy, headaches, neuromuscular, developmental and behavioral neurology, movement disorders, cerebral palsy, neurogenetic and sleep disorders.
• Interpret and manage EEGs, neuroimaging, and other neurologic evaluations.
• Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists, primary care providers, therapists, social workers, and advanced practice providers.
• Participate in inpatient consultations and outpatient clinic services.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment and long-term disease management.
• Participate in teaching opportunities with medical students and residents.
