Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Neurologist to join the Wellstar Pediatric Center. The physician will provide outpatient and inpatient neurological care for infants, children, and adolescents in a multidisciplinary environment.

The role emphasizes clinical excellence, collaboration with subspecialists, teaching, and participation in quality improvement initiatives across Wellstar.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program.
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Neurology Fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Neurology.
• Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Georgia.
• DEA certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage pediatric neurological conditions across outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Provide care for epilepsy, headaches, neuromuscular disorders, CP, neurogenetic and sleep disorders.
• Interpret EEGs, neuroimaging, and other neurological evaluations.
• Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists, primary care, therapists and staff.
• Participate in inpatient consultations and outpatient clinics.
• Support quality improvement and clinical excellence initiatives.
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis and long-term management.
• Engage in teaching opportunities with medical students and residents.
