Job summary

Connecticut Children’s in Hartford, CT seeks a Neurodiagnostic Technologist III for a full-time night shift, on-site position. You will apply EEG electrodes following the 10-20 system, explain the procedure to patients, and monitor safety while coordinating with health-care staff.

You will troubleshoot digital EEG equipment, maintain connections, and contribute to accurate EEG reporting in the electronic health record, with collaborative teamwork across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in or graduation from a CAAHEP accredited Neurodiagnostic program or higher education is preferred.
• BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification is required at time of hire.
• 6 months+ pediatric experience is described as preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply electrodes per the International 10-20 system and ensure correct electrode connections.
• Explain EEG procedures to patients and coordinate with care staff for safe testing.
• Perform basic to intermediate EEG waveform recognition and artifact identification.
• Troubleshoot equipment and maintain digital EEG systems and safety standards.
• Document EEG findings and log procedures in the electronic health record.
• Stock supplies and prepare rooms for EEG procedures.
