Job summary

St. Louis Children's Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare, seeks an experienced Neurodiagnostic Tech II for the night shift to advance pediatric EEG care. You will perform diverse EEG studies, document findings in EMR, and work with a multidisciplinary team in a Level 4 Epilepsy Center.

The role emphasizes mentoring students, ensuring study quality, and adhering to strict protocols in a fast-paced clinical environment focused on exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience with routine inpatient/outpatient EEGs and advanced modalities.
• Ability to document patient records accurately in EMR.
• Mentor students and junior technologists as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and staff to ensure quality care.
• Adhere to department standards and protocols for EEG procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop/implement workflows and supervise Tech I and students.
• Evaluate EEG quality and lead performance improvement initiatives.
• Perform long term video EEG setup and monitoring (academic locations).
• Conduct routine and ambulatory EEGs with high patient acuity.
• Document orders, patient history, and EEG data in EMR and billing notes.
