Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis County seeks a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform EEG testing in the laboratory and at the patient bedside, including routine EEG, long-term monitoring, ambulatory EEG, and NCS with EMG testing support.

You will work within the Cardiac Testing department alongside RNs, technicians and physicians in a Magnet-designated facility that emphasizes high-quality patient care and collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EEG/LTM/NCS/Neurodiagnostic experience highly preferred.
• Adherence to BJC EEG Training Program, with training collaboration at Barnes Jewish Hospital, as needed based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient and outpatient studies, including Routine EEG, Long-Term Monitoring (LTM) for adult and neonatal patients, and Ambulatory EEG.
• Conduct Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) and assist with Electromyography (EMG) testing according to clinical protocols.
• Ensure accurate data collection and adherence to all clinical standards; notify leadership of equipment issues.
• Maintain supplies and support other lab duties as necessary.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday
• 5x8s during training period with possibility of 4x10s post-training
• Evening, weekend, and holiday call rotation required

Minimum Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

The Missouri Baptist Medical Center Cardiac Testing department is a diagnostic testing center which focuses on identifying and evaluating cardiac disease processes. The department is comprised of RNs, cardiac sonographers, ECG techs, Nuclear Medicine technologists and administrative staff. The Cardiac Testing staff works in collaboration with Cardiologists to deliver high quality services to patients and their physicians.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Performs electroencephalographic testing in the laboratory and at the patient's bedside.

Responsibilities

• Performs neurological testing using a variety of methods including digital and video EEG, and processes results.
• Validates physician orders and documents patient and family histories.
• Integrates the findings of EEG and EEG video data into clinically meaningful interpretations.
• Notifies supervisor or leader of any problems regarding equipment failure or maintenance needs.
• Maintains supplies.
