Job summary

Nexus Children’s Hospital – Dallas seeks an experienced Intermediate Care Registered Nurse (RN) to care for patients with complex medical, neurological, developmental, and behavioral needs requiring intermediate or progressive care. The role blends acute and rehabilitative nursing with a trauma-informed approach and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• BSN preferred.
• De-escalation training within 30 days of hire.
• Current Texas RN license (or compact license) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients with complex medical, neurological, developmental, and behavioral conditions.
• Perform comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments using the nursing process.
• Identify patient risks, establish outcomes, and evaluate responses to treatment.
• Elevate clinical concerns promptly through established pathways.
• Monitor and reassess patients after treatments, medications, and interventions.
