Job summary

Nexus Children’s Hospital – Dallas is seeking an experienced Intermediate Care Registered Nurse (RN) to care for patients with complex medical, neurological, developmental, and behavioral needs who require intermediate or progressive levels of care.

The role combines acute and rehabilitative nursing, trauma-informed care, and individualized support within an interdisciplinary team, with emphasis on assessment, evidence-based interventions, and patient-family education.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current, unrestricted Texas RN license or compact multistate license required.
• Basic Life Support and other unit-specific certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients with complex medical, neurological, developmental, psychiatric, and behavioral conditions.
• Perform comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments using the nursing process.
• Identify patient risks and establish individualized outcomes and interventions.
• Recognize subtle changes in patient condition and escalate concerns per policy.
