Nexus Children's Hospital – Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Pediatric Behavioral & Neurodevelopmental Services to provide compassionate, evidence-based care for complex pediatric patients in a structured therapeutic setting.

The RN collaborates with physicians, therapists, and families to promote medical stability, behavioral progress, and successful transition home, emphasizing communication, safety, and individualized care.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to pediatric patients with neurodevelopmental and behavioral health needs.
Work within a structured therapeutic environment with interdisciplinary teams to promote medical stability, behavioral progress, and transition back home.
Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
Monitor neurological status, behavioral changes, and overall clinical condition; recognize deterioration early.
Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; provide de-escalation when needed.
Educate and support patients, caregivers, and families; document progress in the EMR.
Respond to emergencies and crises; participate in quality improvement and professional development.
