Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Per Diem Advanced Practice Nurse in the pediatric Neuro Child Evaluation unit, Neptune City, NJ. The APN will provide direct care, lead collaborative rounds, and promote evidence-based practice within a busy subspecialty division.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, ordering labs, prescribing per NJ regulations, and contributing to education and research activities. Per diem schedule supports weekday operations with no weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited NP program.
• Prescriptive authority through CDS/DEA per NJ law.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document H&P assessments for pediatric patients.
• Order and interpret labs and studies with physicians.
• Prescribe medications per hospital policy and NJ regulations.
• Collaborate with team to provide patient- and family-centered care.
• Mentor APNs and precept students in APN programs.
