Job summary

Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to coordinate initiation and regulatory compliance of clinical studies, oversee visits, manage documents, and ensure data integrity. The role balances patient-facing activities with administrative tasks and requires strong organizational and communication skills.

The successful candidate will support IRB processes, data management, and QA/QC procedures while engaging with diverse teams across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum one year of research experience preferred.
• Familiarity with FDA, HSR, and GCP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate initiation and regulatory compliance of clinical research studies, preparing documents for IRB and sponsor review.
• Maintain regulatory binders and source documents with protocol adherence.
• Oversee clinical research visits including initiation, monitoring, and close-out.
• Collect specimens, record data, and assist QA/QC for data integrity.
• Engage participants, obtain informed consent, coordinate reimbursements, and serve as patient liaison.
• Manage supplies and equipment inventory, labs, and requisitions.
• Track grant deadlines and deliverables.
• Prepare abstracted data and codebooks for analysis and accessibility.
• Participate in investigator meetings and present findings.
