Job summary

OU Health is seeking an MRI Technologist I for Oklahoma Children's Hospital in the Pediatric Radiology department. The role involves performing routine MRI exams under supervision, ensuring patient safety, and supporting imaging workflows.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, contrast administration per protocol, image transfer, and basic documentation. Cardiac MRI training adds specialized duties. Commitment to continuing education and teamwork is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited imaging, radiology or nuclear medicine program as defined by ARRT or ARMRIT.
• Completion of JRCERT accredited Military Educational Program accepted in lieu of other educational requirements.
• ARRT(RT) or ARMRIT certification required within 12 months of hire.
• Level II/III require an Associate's Degree and MRI experience.
• Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine MRI examinations under direct supervision, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician-ordered exams for proper imaging.
• Safely administer contrast per protocol.
• Transfer images and data to designated systems and document studies for reporting.
• Participate in continuing education to maintain competencies and advance care.
