Job summary

Willow Springs Center in Reno, NV is seeking a compassionate Mental Health Technician (MHT) to join our pediatric team serving children ages 6–17. You will assist in structured play therapy activities, support behavioral interventions, and collaborate with clinicians to help create a nurturing space for healing and growth.

The 12-hour day shifts offer base pay plus weekend and night differential. An orientation is required for two weeks Monday–Friday 9:00am–5:30pm before you start your schedule.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent
• EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year in mental health arena; experience in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage children in structured play therapy activities under clinical guidance
• Support individualized treatment plans and behavioral strategies
• Monitor and document patient progress and behaviors
• Foster a safe, positive, and therapeutic environment
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and other team members
