Job summary

Dayton Children’s Mathile Center for Mental Health and Wellness is seeking a Mental Health Technician for the part-time night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM). The role involves direct patient care for mental health patients, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with the treatment team in a trauma-informed environment.

The MHT will assist with daily living activities, documentation, and may support unit operations as needed, ensuring confidentiality and patient privacy at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with trauma-informed care preferred.
• Ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to mental health patients per standards and licensure.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu and conduct routine safety checks.
• Assist with activities of daily living and proper documentation.
• Support unit operations; may serve as unit clerk or coordinator.
