Scottish Rite for Children in Dallas is seeking a Patient Billing Specialist to join our hospital billing team. You will review patient accounts for timely and compliant UB-04 and HCFA-1500 claims, and ensure accuracy in CPT-4/ICD-9 coding in line with payor guidelines.

Responsibilities include editing and processing claims, identifying and resolving errors, and developing reports for reconciliation and trend analysis.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Review patient accounts for timely, compliant UB-04 and HCFA-1500 claims.
• Edit and process claims, identify errors and rejects, and resolve billing issues to generate clean claims.
• Develop reports for billing reconciliation and track trends.
• Review/change charge capture documents for CPT-4/ICD-9 updates.
• Research and monitor government and third-party payer billing regulations.
• Assist with training and development of billing methods and procedures.
