Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience and/or education as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Knowledge of EKG placement and processing in pediatric patients.
• Ability to obtain laboratory specimens (nasal swab) and venipuncture.
• Professional and friendly demeanor with strong communication skills.
• Well organized with ability to multitask in a fast-paced pediatric clinic.
• Experience with pediatric patients.
• Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willing to learn medical software and medical records systems.
• Experience with medical records is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Greet and register patients as they arrive.
• Obtain medical history, patient vital signs, and intake.
• Prepare patients for X-rays.
• Perform and document routine labs (e.g., throat and urine cultures). Venipuncture preferred.
• Irrigate and assist with wounds.
• Assist in quality control testing in the lab.
• Support patient care within scope of practice under supervision.
• Maintain exam rooms and front reception stocked with supplies.
• Maintain waiting room cleanliness and organization.
• Follow safety practices and report changes to management.
• Maintain patient confidentiality of care information.
• Take initiative to add value and assist with challenging requests.
• Assist patients with complaints and support service recovery when needed.
• Perform other duties including splint application and assisting nurses/providers.
