Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center in Bermuda Run (Wake Forest Health Network: Pediatrics: General) is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant. Hours are 8:00am–5:00pm, 40 hours per week, with a $ Sign-On Eligible bonus and a pay range of $21.85–$32.80 per hour.

This role requires Basic Life Support and Medical Assistant certification (CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA or equivalent). 1 year of experience preferred and responsibilities include patient prep, simple labs, clinical support, and proactive communication with

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Current Medical Assistant certification from CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting health information.
• Performs basic laboratory procedures (e.g., strep tests, wound culture) using aseptic technique.
• Assists physician/APP with procedures and minor surgeries as needed.
• Administers routine medications under orders and standing protocols.
• Ensures smooth clinic flow and communicates with patients and health care team.
