Job summary

Wake Forest Health Network Bermuda Run Pediatrics seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient flow, collect vitals, and assist clinicians in a busy primary care setting.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, BLS certification, and current MA certification (CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA or equivalent). One year of experience is preferred; hours are 40 per week, weekdays 8:00am–5:00pm, with a sign-on bonus eligible.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Current Medical Assistant certification from one of the following is required: CMA, CCMA, NCMA, RMA, NRMA, NCMSMA, NRCMA, NAHP/BON forms.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam, records vitals and health information.
• Performs basic lab procedures with aseptic technique and infection control.
• Assists physicians with procedures and administers routine medications under orders or standing protocols.
• Follows through with tests, referrals, and communicates with the care team to ensure smooth clinic flow.
• May perform basic clinical support tasks under supervision.
• Provide age-appropriate care and communicate patient information effectively.
