Job summary

Pediatric Associates Family of Companies in Deltona, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant with a passion for pediatric care. The role supports clinicians in patient care and administrative duties to promote a safe, welcoming environment for children and families.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or MA certification, BLS, and at least 1 year of MA experience. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered for external new hires. Schedule includes multiple shifts with rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• MA Diploma/Certification required.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of immunization and medical terminology.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in electronic health recordkeeping systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high quality patient experience and ensure a safe environment.
• Take and document intake vitals and report abnormalities.
• Interview patients and update medical records with histories and allergies.
• Assist clinicians with examinations, screenings and procedures.
• Perform vaccine and medication reconciliation and educate patients.
• Ensure proper vaccine handling, cold chain and reporting.
• Document injections and follow-up tasks, referrals and orders.
• Perform phlebotomy and lab specimen collection.
• Adhere to infection control policies and protect patient information.
