Job summary

MaineHealth Pediatrics - Brunswick is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support pediatric providers. You will assist with patient care, perform clinical tasks, and help maintain a smooth clinic workflow in a team-driven environment.

The role involves preparing exam rooms, taking histories, administering vaccines, and educating families on health management and follow-up care. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED required with 160 hours of clinical experience from a medical assisting program, or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program with 6 months clinical experience, or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice.
• Licensure/certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification; BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of start.
• Experience: Six months of MA experience or one year as a MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits.
• Collect vital signs, medical histories, and document patient information accurately.
• Administer immunizations and perform basic lab tests as directed.
• Educate families on health management and follow-up care.
• Ensure clinic compliance with safety and infection control standards.
• Support front office tasks as needed.

Education
